These are the words my teenage daughter says to me that literally make my face turn red. You know what happens when she says these words? I can promise you it’s the exact opposite of calming down.
Because, MOST of the time I am not overreacting. Most of the time she has done something ridiculous that warrants me chewing her a new one. Like … the time she ran away and stayed in a cornfield all night. Oh, you haven't read that story? Well you can find it here
Teenagers will grate your nerves like no other, am I right? They’ll push your buttons. They’ll test the limits. They will make you wonder why you didn’t consider adoption. LOL. (I am KIDDING)
I have been through a lot in my life, but I have to say that raising a teenage girl, trying to get her through this stage in her life safely and without ending up in a padded room is right up there with the five hardest things I've ever done in my life (hmmm that sounds like a new blog post).
She is actually right about one thing though. I DO need to calm down. I need to straight knock myself out with relaxation after one of her “fighting for my freedom” sessions. Ever feel that way? Like you really, actually SHOULD calm the "f" down? Well, we all need to truth be told. High blood pressure is a real thing and it's not a great thing the older you get (or so I've heard).
Annnd since I’m not really a drinker and I don’t have the free time to head to Jamaica right now, CBD oil it is. It’s the next best thing to a Reggae vacay and a cocktail. Plus it's cheaper and there is no hangover in the morning.
If you have a teen that tests your patience (they all do) this is me saying go get some Stress Relief in the shop and while you're at it make sure you grab my FREE Guide to Keeping Your Sanity in Check.
I have every concoction you need to get your stress levels under control mama. I am the stress less queen .
